Download the package

Grab the build that matches your jailbreak — rootless for modern (Dopamine, palera1n-rootless), rootful for legacy.

Install it

Open the .deb with Sileo / Zebra, or install via Filza, then respring.

Open Instagram

Long-press the Home tab (or the profile menu) to open Sparkle Settings. That's it.

Get the IPA from Telegram

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Is Sparkle really free?
Yes — completely free and open source. The full source lives on GitHub, there are no paid tiers, no license keys, and no accounts. If you'd like to support development, the dev has a Ko-fi, but it's entirely optional.
Rootful or rootless — which do I need?
Match your jailbreak. Rootless is for modern jailbreaks (Dopamine, palera1n in rootless mode). Rootful is for older ones (unc0ver, checkra1n). If you're on a recent iOS jailbreak, you almost certainly want rootless.
I'm not jailbroken. Can I still use it?
Yes. Grab the IPA from the Telegram channel and sideload it with Feather, AltStore, SideStore, or Sideloadly using your own Apple ID. Free Apple IDs need a re-sign every 7 days; a paid developer account lasts a year.
Is my data safe? Will my account get banned?
Everything Sparkle does runs on your device — nothing is sent to a third-party server, and there's no telemetry. As with any tweak, use common sense: avoid spammy automation and be mindful with a main account. Sparkle is a client enhancement, not a bot.
Which iOS and Instagram versions are supported?
Sparkle targets recent iOS (15+) and current Instagram builds. Because Instagram updates often, always use the latest Sparkle release — check the GitHub releases page or the Telegram channel for compatibility notes.
Does it update automatically?
Jailbroken installs update through your package manager when a new .deb lands. For sideloaded IPAs, watch the Telegram channel for new builds and re-sideload. New releases are announced there and on GitHub.
